To celebrate Pac-Man’s 45th anniversary, Krispy Kreme has launched a limited-edition line of doughnuts inspired by the iconic arcade game — including one shaped like Pac-Man himself, complete with his signature open mouth.
The collection dropped this week, and to keep the fun going, Krispy Kreme offered free Original Glazed doughnuts on May 11 to anyone who visited a store and did their best Pac-Man impression. It’s playful, weird, and kind of perfect.
These kinds of collaborations aren’t really surprising anymore as we’re living in a time where video games show up everywhere, from designer drops to cereal boxes. The Pac-Man x Krispy Kreme pairing works because it taps into something familiar, without needing to explain why.
